Sellers original description:
Rare Rickman Triumph Bonneville.
This Rickman Metisse is a genuine 2 owner bike that the original owner had from new for 39 years. The mileage reads 2115 which is believed to be genuine and as you would expect, this slightly modified engine (see list below) is in perfect condition. The donor bike was a 1969 T120 Bonneville that was registered in 1970, so it was a pre oil in frame model.
The frame has been painted a gunmetal colour by the first owner as the nickel plate didn't last too long.
The bodywork is perfect with no cracks or damage. The seat still has its original cover. The fibre glass tank has been seal to proof it against modern fuel so that is also in good order.
Below is a list of modifications on the Triumph Bonneville:
Cylinder head gas flowed with special valves by the Cylinder Head Shop.
Morgo oil pump.
External canister type oil filter.
Amal Mk2 carbs that are marked "GP" which we are informed means they are smoothbores.
The header pipes are the original items as are the silencers that have recently been re-chromed.
Marzocchi front forks.
Marzocchi piggy back rear shocks.
New Avon tyres.
New rear alloy sprocket.
New paint on all bodywork.
Lockheed front and rear calipers.
Lockheed master cylinders.
Boyer power box running with a 12v battery.
Original sealed beam headlight.
Tomasselli headlight brackets.
Full set of chain adjusters with the bike.
