1995 Triumph Trident 900
(Featured 29th May 2013)
Sellers original description:
I bought it with 7686 miles on the clock from new. It was owned until 2011 by the family of its’ first owner. The lack of miles relates to him owning two bikes (the other a CBR600F), and becoming ill around 2005 and the bike being put away. He passed away in 2011 and his son sold the two bikes to a friend who then sold the Triumph to me. The V5C correspondingly shows 2 previous keepers.
When I bought it, it had a fresh MOT, oil and filter change. Since then, I have fitted fork seals, the Puig sports screen, front and rear tyres (Metzelers) and front pads. The master cylinder screws have been replaced with stainless socket head screws. Last years’ appalling summer led to few miles being ridden before the tax ran out and the bike was garaged over winter until a month ago. Upon start-up with a new Varta battery fitted, there was a drip of petrol from the carbs, so I stripped them, cleaned them out, fitted new o-ring and seals and refitted. At the same time I replaced the throttle cable as it was frayed at the carb end, and the plastic tap as it had a hairline crack in it. Naturally, there are receipts for these items. I also changed to oil and filter again, as it had been stood for a while (Motul 5100). The run to the MOT station this morning showed the bike to be running faultlessly, as you would expect, and passed with no advisories.
