1982 Yamaha RD350LC
(Featured 29th May 2013)
Sellers original description:
Virtually new condition RD350LC.
This bike is an immaculate and original untouched example of this sought after collectible 2 stroke twin.
I have some brief history for the bike :
It is a genuine 1982 model black 3 stripe which wasn't registered until 1991, i have a dating letter from yamaha uk to prove this, it stayed in a crate for 9 years.
When it was registered it passed by 4 owners, I have a couple of early mot's, the 4th owner had it tucked away in the back of his factory for approximately 15yrs under cover before selling to my friend who only had the bike for a year before selling to me. He changed the tyres and chain and gave it a good overhaul.
I have been into lc's for a long time and have restored and fixed them for many years before i found this one.
I believe this to be a completely genuine original untouched and unmolested example showing 5904 miles, yes that's right 5904 miles.
Everything is as it should be, the gearbox is tight and engine sounds great.
The engine has not been touched and still has original sized pistons.
All engine parts, gear selector, kick start, casing screws, plug caps, rear reflector, clock surround and all the parts you can name are as new and genuine uk yamaha parts that were on the bike when it left the shop.
I even have the pre-delivery inspection sheet and first 500 mile service reciept that was given to the first lucky owner.
The bike still has warning sticker on tank and running in sticker on rev counter.
The bike will also come with it's original toolkit, bag and strap also owners manual and original sales brochure.
Please believe me when i say that this is almost as in new condition as the day it was picked up, I say almost because my experience of e-bay tells me there are people out there who want to pick at any small detail so i have described the bike truthfully to the best of my knowledge and eyesight.
The only thing to comment on is 2 very small blemishes on the tank, a very small crack on the tailpiece from over tightening and slight discolouration to the exhaust downpipes which is to be expected from water/dirt throw up from front wheel-thats it folks! No cracks in side panels.
This is as new as you will get apart from finding one in a crate (good luck on that one)
If you want a bike that is 100% a genuine uk original untouched and as new rd350lc to have for a collection, then this is it.
I'm only selling because i'm too frightened to ride it (can't replace the immaculate parts now) and it's a shame to be kept under cover and not shown off or used.
Someone will be very happy owning this bike as i have, and if your lucky enough to have a large bank balance, it's a real keeper forever, it can only go up in value.
I can't say anymore, think of owning a brand new rd350lc with everything there as it was from the shop and you will be close.
