Moto Guzzi California 1100cc "special Sport" Limited Edition Machine, In Black/gold Paintwork This Particular Colour Scheme On These Machine's  Nicknamed A "duracell" For Obvious Reason's!!.

This Particular Bike Being One Of The Rarer "hydraulic Tappet" Models, Registered New In The U.k. In July 2003' It Is One Of The Last Of These Bikes To Be Produced, most Special Sport Machines Were Of The Non Hydraulic Tappet Variety, There Was A Factory Recall For Excessive Wear On Cam Followers In The Early Stages Of The Hydraulic Tappet California Production Machines, This Due To The Manufacturing Process Of "a Batch" Of These Followers Not Being "hardend " Correctly, Predominately This Affected Early 2002 Machines Only, I Have Checked The Chassis Number Of This Machine With A Main Dealer On Moto Guzzi's Factory Recall Web Site, it Has Not Been Recalled For New Cam Followers Under Warranty, It Was Not Required To Do So.

This Frame Number Is A Much Later One Than The Early Affected Machines, last Road Fund Licence Expired In August 2012, so It Will Require Road Tax, It Is M.o.t. Tested Until April 2014, It Required Nothing At The M.o.t. Test This April And There Were No Advisories On The Machine Either, new Oil, Oil-filter, New Air Cleaner Element And New Spark Plugs Fitted At 11,600 Miles, Both Original Service Book And Owners Manual Are With The Bike Plus Spare Ignition Key, There Are Also 9 M.o.t. Certificates With The Bike Which Confirm The Genuine Low Mileage Its Covered From New,along With 5 Dealer Invoices For Servicing Previously Carried Out, This Bike Has Been Very Well Cared For, And The Condition Is Totally Original It Has Not Been Kept Outside Or Anywhere Where There Was Moisture In The Air,!  The Motor Is Exceptionally Quiet As  You May Expect From The Hydraulic Tappet Improvement On This Model.

The Bike Rides, handles And Stops Superb. Tyres Front And Rear Are Also Reasonably New Having Covered Around 600 Miles Only From Last Tyre Change. I Have On Order From Moto Guzzi A New Plastic Chrome Trim Cover For The Left Hand Rear Shocker Top, You Can See In The Pictures Its Missing The Original Was Cracked And I Intend To Change It For New, The Pillion Seat On This Bike Has Been Slightly Enlarged And Padded Out By A Professional Seat Upholsterer, The Original Special Sport Pillion Seat's  Were Exceptionally Small In Size, This One Is Much More Comfortable For A Pillion Passenger, The Bike Is Also Fitted With A Medium Moto Guzzi Touring Windscreen, As You Can See From The Pictures This Machine Has Been Well Cared For There Is Absolutely No Accident Damage Of Any Kind, No Flaking Engine Or Mudguard And Bodywork Paint Either, No Rust Or Rot Anywhere On The Frame Or Cycle Parts Chromework Is Superb Throughout, everything Works Correctly Both Mechanically And Electrically , There Are No Faults What So Ever On This Machine, Its Ready To Ride Away!
